If not, a quick trip to the Home Depot and your craft store will get you set up to show dad just how clever, inventive, and crafty you are!

CREATE: Wrap the straight part of a complimentary paint can opener with oven bake clay, forming the clay into spheres. Bake according to the clay package directions. Once the metal and clay are cool, paint clay with acrylic paints. Once dry seal with satin finish Mod Podge or clear matte finish RustOleum spray paint. 

BONUS: Add in a coupon to help him with his next painting job or, depending on age of your son and or daughters, a trip to a local brewery.

Lazy Sunday Afternoon – Create a Custom Drop Cloth Picnic Blanket

Dad will love lounging on this DIY picnic blanket with his family on a lazy Sunday afternoon full of his favorite bites!

CREATE:
 Wash and iron a desired size canvas drop cloth. Use fabric paint or mix Mod Podge fabric paint fixative with acrylic paint from Michaels. Tape off desired pattern with Frog Tape and paint drop cloth. Allow to dry.

BONUS: Pack your picnic full of his favorite snacks and treats along with waters and lemonade – He will love the time you thought about him and enjoy every moment…head outside. 

Extra Bonus: Combine the bottle opener and the blanket together for a special custom touch to your picnic.

Building Memories With Your #1 DIYer – 

All that is required for this project are a few building block toys, a Sharpie marker, and your family’s imagination. Pull your children togehter and think of FUN things to do with Dad – hiking, rafting, painting, fishing, playing music, a visit to a car show, sharing his favorite hobby, and on and on – you know the dad in your life – fill a jar full of adventures that will create a year of memories.

Show Him OFF – Give him the spotlight by making Clipboard Frames, creating a special place for his items – 

“Frame” dads favorite 2-D items, whether it’s family pictures, maps, or naturalist print. Simply clipping items into clipboards. For a styled look, use use different size clipboards, paint or paper with ModPodge, and use twine or ribbon to hang.

CREATE: Using sports teams, hobbies, or favorite color  as design inspiration, have your children draw a picture or design a graphic pattern, in pencil, on a wooden back scratcher.

Depending on the age of your children, they or you can use a Dremel Stylo , a wood-burning tool, to make the design permanent by tracing over the pencil design.
